Outside of Time
I have been thinking about time. I imagine it as sand running through the glass. As I was thinking about time I started to wonder how God sees time. I think that the way God sees time is way cooler than we think. I found a Bible verse that is a about how God sees time.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
As a child it was easy for the understand that God was in all places. But something that was hard for to understand was that God is outside of time. Even now this is something that is difficult to think about. But it is very cool.
I was watching an interview with Shayne Smith, who is a comedian. He is one of my favorite comedians too. He was having this interview with Father David Michael Moses. In the interview Shayne says that he realized that God is outside of time. He notes that it is valid to pray for Saint Joan of Arc now and God applies that prayer to her during her time. I will link the interview, because Shayne’s story is amazing. The link will start at the part where they are talking about time. So we can pray for anyone from the pasts, present, and future. From God’s point of view Adam and Eve are doing the first sin now while Gabriel is speaking to Mary with his greeting, “Hail, full of grace.” God is making the world right now and seeing the end of the world right now. While making the past and the future He is sitting with you while you read this.
I think that we should stop limiting God based on how we see time. I know that I personally need to stop limiting when it comes to time. It won’t change the past. But God will give you the grace that you need to forgive yourself and more forward with the plan that He has for you. May the Lord bless and keep you close to His Sacred Heart.
Remember, He is outside of the flow and passage of time.
